CPE Series POELondonderry, NH – September 18, 2020 – Semiconductor Circuits, Inc. CPE2U36 “Cool Power Technologies” 48V, 2A wide input range 8th brick DC-DC converter is available to ship from stock in new lower height 11.8mm max open frame module. This module provides up to 96W of power and is ideal for power over Ethernet or other distributed power architecture applications. This module is DOSA compliant (footprint & interface.) It has a wide input voltage range of 18 to 72VDC (9-36Vin version available on request) & provides 2250VDC input to output isolation.

The CPE2U36 is a high efficiency module with efficiencies exceeding 90%. It is safety approved to EN 60950 and is UL94 V-0 flammability rated. The module complies with all of the typical industry requirements including no load/no capacitance operation and 100V/100mS input voltage transient.

Other features include: fixed-frequency operation, auto-restart OVP, OCP & OTP protections, UVLO, remote sense and +10%/-30% output voltage trim using industry standard equations (33 – 53 Vout.) Remote ON/OFF is standard with positive or negative logic options available.

The module features a standard 8th brick pinout and dimensions of 2.3” L x 0.9” W (58.4mm x 22.9mm.) It has a maximum height of 11.8mm (0.465”) or 12.7 (0.50″) in a baseplated model for applications needing extended thermal performance.
