5V Input Isolated 1×1 DC-DC Converter

 

CP30 SeriesAtkinson, NH – June 21, 2017 – Semiconductor Circuits, Inc. introduces the new “Cool Power Technologies” 5V input (4.5-9V) 5V, 6A and 3.3V, 6A 30W 1×1 DC-DC converters. These open frame or optional encapsulated modules provide up to 30W of output power @ an output voltage of 3.3V or 5VDC (12V & 15V versions are also available – consult factory.) These modules are ideal for industrial or distributed power architecture applications. These module are compliant with the standard 1×1 & 1×2 pinout and interface standards. It has a wide input voltage range of 4.5 to 9 VDC (3-9 Vin for the 3.3V version) & provides 2250 VDC input to output isolation in open frame configuration, 1600VDC for the encapsulated module.

The 5Vin CP30 series is ROHS 3 Directive 2015/863/EU Compliant, meets UL/EN 60950-1, 2nd edition requirements and is UL94 V-0 flammability rated. The module complies with all of the typical industry requirements including no load operation, 15V input voltage transient and pre-biased load startup.

Other features include: fixed-frequency operation, auto-restart over-voltage, over-current & over-temperature protections, undervoltage lockout and +/-10% output voltage trim. Remote ON/OFF is standard with positive or negative logic options available. Modules can also be ordered without enable pin and trim pin (remove “P” or “N” from model number.)

The modules feature a standard 1×1/1×2 pinout with dimensions of 0.94” L x 0.94” W x 0.35″ Max. Height (23.9mm x 23.9mm x 8.9mm.) The encapsulated versions are standard 1″ x 1″ x 0.4″ Tall (25.4mm x 25.4mm x 10.2mm.)

CP40 4:1 SeriesAtkinson, NH – October 24, 2016 – Semiconductor Circuits, Inc. expands it’s new line of “Cool Power Technologies” ultra-wide input range 40W 1×1 DC-DC converters. Open frame or encapsulated 40W 1×1 modules are available in 5V @ 8A and 12V @ 3.3A versions. These modules are ideal for industrial, instrumentation, transportation, medical, solar and many other types of applications including distributed power architecture applications. The module is compliant with the standard 1×2 pinout footprint and interface standards. It has an ultra wide input voltage range of 9 – 36 VDC or 18 – 75 VDC & provides 2250 VDC input to output isolation in open frame configuration, 1600VDC in the encapsulated module.

The CP40 4:1 input series is ROHS 3 Directive 2015/863/EU Compliant, meets UL/EN 60950-1 2nd edition requirements and is UL94 V-0 flammability rated. These open frame modules provide up to 24W of output power @ output voltages of 1.8, 3.3, 5.0, and 12Vdc – ideal for distributed power architecture applications or as a fully regulated intermediate bus converter. These modules are compliant with DOSA 32nd brick footprint and interface standards. It has a wide input voltage range of 18 to 72 VDC & provides 1500 VDC input to output isolation.

The CPZ 4:1 input series meets EN 60950 basic insulation requirements and is UL94 V-0 flammability rated. The module complies with all of the typical industry requirements including no load operation, 100V/100mS input voltage transient and pre-biased load startup.

Other features include: fixed-frequency operation, auto-restart OVP, OCP & OTP protections, UVLO, remote sense and +/-10% output voltage trim using industry standard equations. Remote ON/OFF is standard with positive or negative logic options available.

The modules feature a standard 32nd brick pinout with dimensions of 0.76” L x 0.92” W (19.3mm x 23.4mm.) It has a maximum height of 0.35″ (8.9mm) which accommodates tight card spacing with minimal airflow blockage of downstream components.
