Londonderry, NH – October 24, 2016 – Semiconductor Circuits, Inc. expands it’s new line of “Cool Power Technologies” ultra-wide input range 40W 1×1 DC-DC converters. Open frame or encapsulated 40W 1×1 modules are available in 5V @ 8A and 12V @ 3.3A versions. These modules are ideal for industrial, instrumentation, transportation, medical, solar and many other types of applications including distributed power architecture applications. The module is compliant with the standard 1×2 pinout footprint and interface standards. It has an ultra wide input voltage range of 9 – 36 VDC or 18 – 75 VDC & provides 2250 VDC input to output isolation in open frame configuration, 1600VDC in the encapsulated module.
The CP40 4:1 input series is ROHS 3 Directive 2015/863/EU Compliant, meets UL/EN 60950-1 2nd edition requirements and is UL94 V-0 flammability rated. The module complies with all of the typical industry requirements including no load operation, 2X nominal input voltage survival transient and pre-biased load startup.
Other features include: fixed-frequency operation, auto-restart over-voltage, over-current & over-temperature protections, undervoltage lockout and +/-10% output voltage trim. Remote ON/OFF pin is standard with positive or negative logic options available. Modules can also be ordered without enable pin and trim pins (4-pin module.)
The modules feature a standard pinout and the dimensions of the converter are 0.94” L x 0.94” W x 0.35″ Max. Height (23.9mm x 23.9mm x 8.9mm) open frame, and 1″ x 1″ x 0.4″ Tall (25.4mm x 25.4mm x 10.2mm) in the standard encapsulated configuration.

Londonderry, NH – September 22, 2015 – Semiconductor Circuits, Inc. introduces the CPE5R48 “Cool Power Technologies” 30V, 4.65A wide input range 8th brick DC-DC converter. This compact part is designed for use in power radio applications and is intended to directly replace larger quarter bricks modules (identical pin out and functionality.) The converter features an industry standard 36-72Vdc (48Vdc nominal) input voltage and has a 30Vdc output rated at 140W. The output has an ultra-wide trim range of 21 to 34Vdc which allows for significant flexibility in various power amplifiers designs. The converter has a full load efficiency of 93% which allows for use over a wide ambient temperature range with minimal derating. The open frame design is also available with an optional baseplate for those applications where conduction cooling is required or preferred. This module is compliant with DOSA footprint and interface standards.
